The rope arrived on time and just as described. The cord arrived neatly coiled in a bag. As soon as I opened it and began uncoiling it, my cat began rolling in the sisal. During the process of recovering the scratching post, my cat was ecstatic, rubbing on the cord over and over. Once I had finished my job, my cat spent at least an hour lying on the newly covered post. He then fell asleep on it. The cord was very easy to wind. I can't recommend it highly enough. A high quality product! My cats destroyed their scratching post, I decided to do a make over and it was so easy!!! Looks so much better and my cats love it!Now I have spares ready to go for my cat.I have a 5’x4”x4” cat tower post that I needed to replace the old carpet on the vertical post of. Found this after some digging, and unfortunately didn’t do the math and ended up needing two. Sadly, they didn’t sell them in the 164’ length anymore - guess it was too good of a deal - so I had to buy three more in 66’ lengths to finish the other half.It has a slight odor to it but it’s not at all pervasive so unless you’re extremely sensitive to that, and plan on rubbing your face on it with your cats, then it shouldn’t be an issue for you.I like that it’s not horribly rough or frizzy, like a lot of other products appeared to be, and my cats have been good about using it to scratch instead of my stairs. This rope smells like gasoline. Also, 66 ft rope could only cover about 65% of a pole that is currently sold for $17. Considering the time and the amount of hot glue sticks spent restoring your pole will cost more than buying a new one.Rope is of a better quality than I expected for the price, but has that distinct chemical smell. I know sometimes these sorts of ropes are coated to preserve them and though I am not planning on letting my cats eat it, I still let it soak in the sink scrubbing it with dish soap and thoroughly rinsing it several times to make sure it is safe for them to shred. It also came bundled neatly and not tangled. This rope works well for replacing rope on a cat tree. I am very satisfied with it and my cats love it. The only issue I had with this rope is that when I first received it, it had a strong gasoline type odor. I hung it outside for a few days and it was just fine. Es estéticamente bonita y no suelta tantos hilitos como la cuerda original del rascadorInstead of replacing the entire cat tree which my cats love and love and love. Which means they have shredded off the carpet. This rope is a great idea to replace one pole, so they can continue to use the tree without me replacing it entirely.
